Mildred Ann Furlong, 78 went to be with the Lord on July 14th, 2010. Millie was born on Dec 8th, 1931 to Charles and Marie Stoess. She married her husband Walt in 1954 and they raised 4 children, moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 1972. Millie was a loving wife and mother, retired nurse and proud granny. She is preceded in death by her father Charles Stoess, mother Marie Stoess, sisters; Thelma Stoess, Betty Stoess, Wanda Glover.
Millie is survived by her devoted husband Walter C Furlong, Jr, her children Lillian Erami (Mohammed); Walter C Furlong III - Skip (Stella); Janet Moore (Sam); Stan Furlong (Kayti); her grandchildren Walt Furlong IV; Charlie Furlong; Simeen Erami (Nathan); Chris Furlong, Sohaila Erami, Ardy Erami, Matt Furlong, Josh Furlong, Greg Moore, Katie Furlong, Zach Moore, Tyler Short and Marquee Moore; sisters Mary Spradlin (Bobbie) and Debbie Reese (Alan); brother Jack Stoess (Sharon), many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
The family will receive guests and visitors Friday July 16th from 4pm until 7pm with a memorial service immediately following at the Southern Grove Clubhouse at 8601 Beach Blvd. In leu of flowers, donations can be sent to Community Hospice Hadlow Center, located on Sunbeam Road, as this organization played a special role in Millie’s comfort and peace as she prepared to pass on and take her place in heaven.
